Belize is a nation on the eastern coast of Central America, with Caribbean Sea shorelines to the east and dense jungle to the west. The Placencia peninsula is fast becoming one of the major visitor destinations in Belize. It's 16-mile- (26-km-) long peninsula, with four different but complementary areas: Northern Peninsula, Maya Beach, Seine Bight, and Placencia Village.

Placencia Village, it used to be a fishing village but now offers some tourist amusement such as bars and entertainment like kayaking, snorkeling, diving, saltwater fly fishing, whale shark watching during the full moons between April and July of each year, light tackle saltwater fishing, as well as numerous restaurants and local art gallery.

Serenade Hotel is located in the center of Placencia Village, on the famous Placencia’s Sidewalk, the narrowest mainstreet as recorded by the Guinness world of records. You can come to Placencia via air with Tropic Air and Maya Airline, via sea from Honduras, Guatemala, via road driving along a beautiful road the Hummingbird highway.

Placencia Village, hosts the Placencia Lobster Fest, the Placencia Peninsula Arts Festival, Easter Week (similar to US Florida Spring Break)
