Good clean, basic accommodation. Host was most helpful as the nearby beach had sargassum as do many beaches in Belize at this time (August 2026). She suggested an alternate beach within walking distance. hotel on boardwalk not street. | Liked: cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilitiesPosted on Hotels.com![]()

This was our first time staying here, and we will be back! Lucinda was wonderful. Helped me with the booking, and shuffled rooms around so we could have the beds we needed. The rooms are basic, but clean. Quite affordable. And the location can’t be beat. Right on the Sidewalk, the main thoroughfare of Placencia. Quiet, but in the midst of shops, restaurants and bars. As an added plus for us, just a few steps from the back door is the bus stop. Made it easy to catch the 6am bus to San Ignacio!Posted on Hotels.com![]()

There wasn't direct view of the ocean, but it's a very, very short walk to get to the beach and ocean. We walked to a nearby restaurant - the Cozy Corner, every day, (only about 200 ft) and we could hang out on their beach chairs all day. The main walkway is right out the front door, so everything in the village is very accessible. Hotels shared kitchen was not available during our stay, but they were in the process of many updates, and that must be one of them. Rooms are small & cozy, AC worked well. We had an in room mini frig. I think they could use additional outdoor seating on the balconies, there was no place to sit outside. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the Village Nice little boutique hotel. Not directly on the beach, but within 200 feet. Rooms are cozy and clean. AC worked well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some rooms are nicely, recently remodeled, and they are still working on others. The shared kitchen was not available to us when we were there - hopefully they are renovating that too and future guests can enjoy it. Could use some outdoor seating.Posted on Hotels.com![]()

Our experience at Seranade was basically good. Lucinda, the manager, was very responsive. The location was excellent. It was not "on the beach", but right across the Placencia Sidewalk from the beach and close to shops and dining on the Sidewalk. The facility was clean, but very old And a bit rundown (broken tiles on bathroom floors, in need of paint, ,etc.)but adequate for our needs. There were 3 of us in 3 different rooms. ☺ cleanliness, staff & service, eco-friendliness, room comfortPosted on Google![]()

DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE BEACH AND ON THE SIDEWALK!! For New Year’s Eve, I braved the drive from Belmopan (mid-mainland) to "The Sidewalk" (you should Google it—it’s where the party’s at). A local had promised me a room near the action, but when my son and I showed up, we got hit with the dreaded “Sorry, no room available.” Panic? Oh, absolutely. But then, Serenade came to the rescue. On one of the busiest nights of the year, they managed to squeeze us in. Crisis averted! Our room was cozy (read: small) but clean, featuring a TV, two beds, a shelf, and a bathroom. Nothing fancy, but it ticked the basics: a place to sleep and a spot to freshen up. We were super close to "The Sidewalk," so be warned—if you’re a light sleeper, the sound of passersby might not be your idea of relaxation. The price felt fair for what we got, considering it was last-minute, and it served us well for one night. For a longer stay? I’d suggest exploring more modern options. But hey, they saved us on New Year’s Eve, so major points for that. The real highlight was meeting the property owners, who split their time between Belize and California. They were so lovely that we actually ran into them again later—small world! The staff were equally wonderful, going above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Parking? A bit of a puzzle, especially if there’s flooding. Be prepared for some creative maneuvering. In summary, Serenade is “outdated but functional.” Would I recommend it? For a night or two, absolutely—especially if your budget’s tight.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Ok. This is not a 5-star hotel. There is no pool and it doesn't look like a resort in paradise. However, the room was very basic but had a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, and was clean. My room seemed to have been recently renovated and I think they didn't put my fridge back in my room. I looked in another empty room and it had a fridge. I should have asked as cold water is a must in this area. The location is absolutely perfect. Within a short walk to food, bars, beach, and pier. The staff (Lucinda) was awesome and waited up for me for my late arrival. Placencia is NOT a resort but a working village. Do not expect resort-like amenities. For the price, my stay here was phenomenal. It is exactly what I wanted--a place to stay while I could explore the area yet go back to and cool off/rest of need be. If I were going by myself again, this would be option #1. For 2? Maybe. More than 2? Nope.Posted on Google![]()

This is a perfect location. Rooms are clean and spacious. They were doing some upgrades while I was there. The staff are super accommodating (I feel bad I cannot remember her name). She stayed late to help us check in and her son helped us with luggage. I absolutely love this gem. Will stay here next time we head that way again. Incredibly fantastic people and great rates.Posted on Google![]()

This is by no means a 5 star hotel, but the rooms are clean. It is very close to the marina. The a/c works well! So does the Wifi! I would stay there again.Posted on Google![]()

Comfortable bed. Warm showers. Cold AC. Fridge and TV. No kitchen but for 60-80 bucks a night this hotel is the best bang for your buck The manager is quick to respond and is available in her office during the day and was very helpful when I needed a room last minute. Location is great as you have places to eat and gift shops literally steps away. Location is quiet as well. Your also close to mings Market and sort of in the middle of Placencia so your never too far from any one location. Beach is only a couple hundred feet from the property And next to Cozy Corner (Highly recommend the stuff Jack's for breakfast) Overall if your looking for an affordable room that checks off those main boxes this hotel is the one for you.Posted on Hotels.com![]()

Spent one night, and it was a great stay! Lovely sightseeing when walking in the Placencia Sidewalk toward the sea! The staff from the office was friendly and gladly showed us where to find Captain Jaks to prepare for the next day’s adventure. I recommend booking the Serenade Hotel as it's affordable and has excellent security.Posted on Hotels.com![]()
